So, for the time being, figured I'd post up some of my older work. Things I've stumbled across while doing an epic cleaning of my room. These all come from around the same time, about 5 years ago. Some are just sketches, others are assignments or studies for assignments...

So, I've neglected my blog quite a bit. More so than I had planned. A new semester is about to start, and it will be my last. Finally. So keep an eye out, over the next few months I should be posting a lot more artwork on here.

More Notebook Doodles 'n such...

Doodles 'n such...

Time for a new post. I decided to scan some sketches, doodles, scribbles, whatever you wanna call them, that I had in my "gen ed" notebook from the last couple semesters. I found that as I sat in these classes (the ones that focused more on those "book" things than that "art" thing), I tended to sketch more freely than I do when I sit down with my sketchbook, determined to draw. Granted, I probably should have been taking notes, but as you'll see, that was far from what actually happened...

Motivation...

...is something I crave, but sometimes have a problem grabbing a hold of. Something feels a bit different now though. With my class schedule consisting of just one class (and my FINAL class, at that), I'm feeling like I can and WILL actually be a bit more productive over the next few months than I have been lately. I walked out of class yesterday inspired and motivated. For the first time in a while, I actually WANT to sit down and spend hours drawing in my sketch book. This doesn't sound like much, but it's a big improvement over what my mindset has been. So, a big cheers to that and here's to a productive semester!
